2525 - 250 micron coatings only.
2590 - one 250 micron coating and one 900 micron coating.
2599 - 900 micron coatings only.
2529 - 250 or 900 micron coatings.
The 3M Mechanical Spice is co-developed with NTT to be an installed FTTH system. The splice can be used with either single-mode or multimode fibers with a glass cladding diameter of 125 microns. The assembly requires only the removal of the fiber coating, and cleaning and cleaving of the fiber. 2501 Assembly Tool turns any crafts person into a splicing expert. The splice needs no epoxy or electricity and installation time is within 3 minutes.
