CORNING 388-0040 100pr FRAME BLOCK W/ 100' STUB DOWN NEW Description
Corning Cable SystemsÂ’ C-388 Connector is designed to substantially reduce cross-connect (jumper) running time. The front-facing cross-connect (jumper) field aligns the terminals of the tip-ring pairs vertically and groups the pairs in fives. Each group is clearly numbered adjacent to the cross-connect (jumper) and test fields. These designations are also reflected on the front fanning strip for uniform, efficient connector administration. The C-388 Connector is ideal for use on electronic exchanges, permitting 700 pairs to be protected on an 8-ft-high (2.44 m) vertical.
The C-388 Connector is compatible with Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) and Centrex systems that use combination frame configurations; i.e., where terminal blocks and connectors are mounted on the same side of the frame. It also provides an excellent termination point for protector frame systems that use separate intermediate distribution frames for cross-connecting, as well as single-sided frames. The C-388 Connector allows a comfortable working space between adjacent verticals, and it remains behind the guardrails when mounted on most standard frames. The C-388 Connector accepts the full line of industry-standard 303-type, 5-pin protector units, including Corning Cable SystemsÂ’ Solid-State Overvoltage Protector (SSOVP) units.
