It is intended for use in pulling aerial cable with a small size wire rope used as a pulling line. Also may be used for paying out the rope with the spool mounted on either the winch drum shaft or the pole spindle.
Perfect for utility pole work , this easy to use reel consists of a spool, driving and pole spindles, and 2 brake assemblies, one mounted on each spindle.
Can be mounted on either a drive or pole spindle. 2 3/4 inch OD and 6 inch hub
Driving spindle mounts on any 2 7/16 inch diameter winch extension shaft with a bayonet or pin type mount, while the pole spindle can support a spool on a pole.
The maximum allowable pull is rated for 2000 lbs
Spool is made with a heavy guage steel reinforced steel with a reinforced exterior facing. Has a durable bright yellow finish.
The length of the driving spool is 18.56 inches and the length of the pole spindle is 13.25 inches.
A durable bright yellow finish provides added safety.
Placing the brake hub on the assembly holds the spool on the spindle. Manually pressing the brake hub against the spool allows you to control free wheeling. Inverting the brake hub engages the spool and drive spindle in the driving position.
