GENERAL MACHINE PRODUCTS 89210 RODDER DUCT 1/4" X 500' NEW Continuous Duct Rodders One of the new additions to our line as a result of the acquisition of CBS Products in the UK is our superior line of duct rodders. Weve brought this technology to GENERAL MACHINE PRODUCTS where we now produce what are the best performing and most durable duct rodders available anywhere - at a price that represents the very best value. Decades of in-field use have proven this high visibility orange rod material to have the ideal combination of the mechanical properties of tensile strength, modulus, stiffness and bending behavior. When loaded onto our durable yet maneuverable dispenser/carriers these duct rodders are fundamentally essential tools for underground tasks such as cleaning and locating ducts, threading lines or pulling cables Rodders come equipped with a male threaded end fitting and tapered head on the leading end and a female threaded fitting on the back end Our carriers are made of tubular steel alloy and are powder coated or electro-galvanized for corrosion resistance. Larger diameter carriers have inboard wheels for easier transport at the jobsite. Each carrier is fitted with a hand-operated brake to control payout. Please refer to the following tables for specific lengths in each size. Our fiberglass rod is not pultruded like others. It is produced instead using a proprietary process where glass fibers are strictly unidirectional with optimal fiber density of 80%. The fibers are fully impregnated in resin and then bi-axially wound with hi-strength filaments before being completely embedded in the orange polypropylene thermoplastic jacket. This gives our rod its excellent handling characteristics throughout its long life without the protruding reinforcement fibers that can appear over time in other rods.
