They accommodate the 1/4-inch insulated messenger of figure 8 cable. The hook is provided for stringing and safety. The PA292X is used on .109 inch to .134 inch bare or insulated messenger wire in tangent construction or angles to 35 degrees. The hook serves as a safety device and can be used in the stringing of the cable. The clamp sections and hook accommodate a 5/8-inch diameter pole mounting bolt. The clamp surface length is 1-3/4-inches. These clamps are used for tangent construction or angles to 10 degrees. They accommodate the 1/4-inch insulated messenger of figure 8 cable. The hook is provided for stringing and safety. The J2235 has a clamp gripping length of 1-7/8-inches. It is designed for normal use and will support cable through 100 pair, No. 19. The PA296X is used for heavier construction and has a clamp gripping length of 3-1/4-inches. It will support cable through 200 pair, No. 19. The J2245 has a 6-inch long clamp gripping length and is supplied with two clamp bolts for maximum holding strength in areas of adverse wind conditions or where long spans and heavier loads are required. It will support cable through 200 pair, No. 19. A 5/8-inch bolt is mounted on pole with hook against pole. The square nut is tightened up against the hook and left in a square position as shown.
