SELF-SUPPORT 24GA 25PR ALP-SJ-8 25 Pair 24 Gauge PE-38 PER 1000 FT 01-097-38 NEW Description: ALP-SJ-8 cables are plastic-insulated single-jacketed air core designs with integral steel messenger members to facilitate aerial applications. Solid annealed copper in 19, 22, 24 and 26 gauge are insulated with solid high-density polyethylene or polypropylene in distinctive colors. A non-hygroscopic core wrap protects the core and helps to provide core-to-shield dielectric strength. A corrugated copolymer-coated 8-mil aluminum tape is applied longitudinally over the core wrap. The copolymer coating bonds the shield to the jacket and reduces the possibility of shield corrosion and lightning damage. A 1/4 inch 7-strand extra high strength galvanized steel support member, fully flooded for corrosion protection, serves as the support member and is an integral part of the sheath. Black linear low-density polyethylene provides a tough flexible protective covering that withstands exposure to sunlight, atmospheric temperatures, ground chemicals and stresses expected in standard installations. Sequential footage markings are printed at two-foot intervals. Standard reel sizes are listed; actual reel size may differ. Please confirm reel size at time of order.
